Scarlatiniform
Der Scharlach (Scarlatina) ist eine akute Infektionskrankheit, die vor allem im Kindesalter von vier bis sieben Jahren auftritt. Im Gegensatz zu typischen Kinderkrankheiten kann man mehrfach an Scharlach erkranken. Er wird durch β-hämolysierende Streptokokken verursacht. Die Behandlung mit einem entsprechenden Antibiotikum kann den früher gefürchteten Spätkomplikationen vorbeugen.
